Partnership purpose

A mineral occurrence is not yet an investable project.

Responsible development requires clear rights, credible evidence, capable people and a realistic operating pathway.

Kikan considers opportunities where local knowledge and resource potential may benefit from stronger project definition, equipment, technical capability, processing systems, governance, responsible-business practices or commercial coordination.

Our role is shaped by the needs and maturity of each opportunity. Kikan may evaluate, coordinate or help structure a potential partnership, but submission does not establish a relationship, validate a resource or guarantee support.

Development needs

Partnerships should solve defined constraints.

Kikan does not assume that every project requires the same capital, equipment, expertise or commercialization pathway.

01

Exploration definition

Organizing available geological information, field evidence, sampling history and the questions that require qualified technical work.

02

Operational capacity

Evaluating workforce, equipment, site systems, safety, security and production controls needed for responsible progression.

03

Processing readiness

Understanding recovery methods, material handling, quality controls, environmental considerations and potential infrastructure needs.

04

Commercial pathway

Clarifying product form, verification, custody, logistics, counterparties and the conditions required for a credible route to market.

Opportunity lifecycle

Support must match the project’s stage.

Stage descriptions help frame review; they are not technical classifications, valuations or confirmations of economic viability.

Stage 01

Early opportunity

Initial rights, ownership, location and geological information require organization and preliminary assessment.

Priority: establish the facts
Stage 02

Active small-scale operation

An operating activity may seek stronger controls, equipment, safety, environmental practices or production documentation.

Priority: strengthen systems
Stage 03

Expansion pathway

A more developed opportunity may require technical planning, infrastructure, processing capacity or structured participation.

Priority: prove readiness
Stage 04

Market integration

A qualified operation may require product verification, documentation, logistics and approved commercial counterparties.

Priority: controlled market access

Initial opportunity review

What Kikan needs to understand.

Information requirements increase with the proposed scope, risk and maturity of the opportunity.

  1. 01

    Who holds the rights?

Legal entity, beneficial ownership, representatives, licences, permits, land or mineral rights and authority to propose a partnership.

  2. 02

    What evidence exists?

Geological work, sampling, assay information, production records, maps, technical reports and the limitations of each source.

  3. 03

    What is happening on site?

Current activities, people, methods, equipment, output records, health and safety, security and material controls.

  4. 04

    Who may be affected?

Workers, landholders, communities, government stakeholders and other groups connected to the opportunity.

  5. 05

    What support is actually needed?

Technical expertise, systems, equipment, infrastructure, processing, capital, governance or market coordination.

  6. 06

    What could stop progression?

Unclear rights, unsupported claims, integrity concerns, environmental or social risk, sanctions, conflict exposure or commercial infeasibility.

Responsible participation

Development quality matters alongside resource potential.

Kikan’s review approach is informed by recognized responsible-business and mineral-supply-chain principles. Relevant areas may include human rights, community engagement, worker health and safety, environmental risk, security practices, beneficial ownership, anti-corruption and traceability.

Reference to external frameworks does not claim certification, formal alignment or approval. Expectations and verification measures remain specific to each opportunity.

Potential partnership structures

The structure follows the verified need.

Capability

Technical and operational support

Potential coordination of qualified expertise, systems, equipment planning or operational improvement.

Development

Project-readiness support

Potential organization of technical, commercial, governance and stakeholder workstreams needed for further evaluation.

Market

Commercial pathway development

Potential coordination of product definition, verification planning and engagement with qualified counterparties.

Strategic participation

Project-specific partnership

Potential participation considered only after appropriate diligence, professional advice, approvals and definitive agreements.

Kikan does not publicly promise financing or offer standardized investment terms. Any potential participation is private, selective and opportunity-specific.

Opportunity submissions

Bring evidence—not promotional claims.

A strong submission explains both the opportunity and what remains uncertain.

Include

  • Legal entity and authorized contact
  • Beneficial ownership information
  • Location and rights documentation
  • Project stage and current activities
  • Available technical evidence
  • Defined partnership requirement

Do not rely on

  • Unverified reserve or grade claims
  • Photographs without provenance
  • Guaranteed production forecasts
  • Unsigned permits or agreements
  • Unexplained intermediaries
  • Promises of immediate funding

Mining partnership questions

Direct answers.

Clear information for mine owners, operators and prospective strategic partners.

What mining opportunities does Kikan consider?

Kikan may consider qualified African mineral opportunities at different stages, including projects seeking stronger technical definition, operational capacity, processing readiness or commercial pathways. Every submission is reviewed individually.

Does submitting a project guarantee investment?

No. Submission does not establish a partnership or guarantee financing, technical support, market access or any other form of participation.

Does Kikan publish project locations or partner identities?

Not automatically. Sensitive information is handled according to the engagement, and public disclosure requires authorization and appropriate verification.

Can an artisanal or small-scale operation apply?

Yes, it may submit an opportunity. Legal authority, rights, current practices, evidence, risks and development needs must still be reviewed.

What happens after an initial submission?

Kikan may request clarification or documents, arrange preliminary discussions, refer matters for specialist review, pause the opportunity or decline to proceed. Only definitive agreements establish obligations.
